Send Email Reminders for Unsigned E-Signature Documents

Learn how automatic reminders work and how to follow up with Account Holders who haven't signed

Written by Richard Hogan

E-signature Documents attached to Programs are emailed to signers automatically after enrollment. If a Document goes unsigned, Enrollsy sends automatic reminders, and you can also follow up yourself by email or text.

How Automatic Reminders Work

Automatic reminders apply to E-signature Documents only, not Required Documents.

  • The signer gets the first E-signature request by email

  • If the Document is still unsigned, a reminder goes out 3 days after the first request

  • A final reminder goes out 7 days after the first request

  • After 7 days, no more reminders are sent automatically. You can still send manual reminders

Documents With Multiple Signers

  • The second signer won't get the Document until the first signer has signed it

  • If the Document has multiple signers but the Account has only one Account Holder, that Account Holder has to fill out and sign the Document once for each signer. For example, with two signers they'll sign twice

Send a Manual Reminder

You can send a manual reminder from the Notification Center or the Documents tab. Either way, the Account Holder gets a new E-signature request email.

NOTE: Only the most recent E-signature request email will work, and you can send a reminder only once per hour.

Manual Reminder — Notification Center

Before you can use the Notification Center, you'll need to set up two things:

To send a reminder:

  • Click the bell icon in the upper-right corner to open the Notification Center

Follow Up by Text or Email

You can also message Account Holders from Enrollees > Documents. These messages don't send a new E-signature request. They're a personal nudge to go sign.

Send a Text Message

  • On the left, select the Accounts you want to text

  • Click the SMS icon

  • A window opens with the Account Holders' names and, at the top, how many recipients have a cell phone number

  • A phone icon marks any Primary Account Holder who has no cell phone number. To add one, click the Enrollee's name on the left, then click the Account Holder's name at the top

  • Type your message in the box below the names and click Send

NOTE: Bulk text messages can be at most 160 characters. This limit can't be changed.
