A Gift Card gives someone credit they can use when they enroll in a Program. This guide covers buying a Gift Card, redeeming one you received, checking your balance and using it at enrollment.
Buy a Gift Card
You need an Enrollsy account to buy a Gift Card, since you’ll sign in to the Customer Portal or the Enrollsy app to make the purchase.
Step 1 — Open the Gift Card Page
Sign in to the Customer Portal or the Enrollsy app
Click the menu in the top right corner and select Home
Scroll down to Benefits/Credits and click Purchase gift card
Step 2 — Fill In the Gift Card Details
Under Gift Card Options:
Choose an amount or enter a custom amount
Enter the recipient’s name in To name and your name in From name
Enter the recipient’s email address (required)
Add an optional message, which appears at the top of the Gift Card email
Below the Gift Card image, you can also:
Click gift card terms of service to read the terms
Click E-mail preview to see the email the recipient will get
Your optional message shows at the top of the email. The rest of the email can’t be edited.
Step 3 — Purchase the Gift Card
Click Purchase
Select Electronic Check (ACH) or Credit/Debit Card, enter your payment details and click Next step
Confirm and submit your purchase
A message appears when your payment goes through. Gift Card purchases don’t include a convenience fee. You won’t get a receipt, but the purchase shows in your Transaction History.
Redeem a Gift Card
The recipient gets an email letting them know they have a Gift Card. They don’t need an Enrollsy account yet, since they can create one while redeeming.
In the Gift Card email, click Redeem
Select Current Account to sign in, or Create Account to set up a new account
The Gift Card amount is added to your account as a credit. You can create your account with any email address, so it doesn’t have to match the one the Gift Card was sent to.
Check Your Gift Card Balance
Click the menu in the top right corner and select Home
Find your balance under Credit Balance in the Benefits/Credits section
Use Your Gift Card at Enrollment
Gift Cards can only be used when you enroll in a Program. They can’t be used to pay tuition or other fees after you enroll. Before you finish enrolling, your Gift Card balance shows with any other credits on your account.
Credits are applied in this order:
Any other credits on your account are used first
Your Gift Card balance is used next, only if the enrollment charges are more than your other credits
Any amount left is paid by ACH (electronic check) or credit/debit card
For example, if your enrollment charges total $350 (a $100 Material Fee, $50 Registration Fee and $200 Tuition), a $100 account credit and $75 Gift Card balance are applied first, so you pay $175.
