Card processing fees — sometimes called convenience fees — are the fees your merchant provider charges you, and/or the fees you pass on to customers to cover that cost. These fees appear on statements and transaction summaries, but only show on an Invoice if you've added them manually. This article walks you through deleting processing fees linked to a canceled enrollment, and removing standalone or incorrect transactions from an account.
Before You Begin
Deleting a transaction is permanent. Once removed, it cannot be recovered, so double-check before confirming.
If you delete a processing fee tied to a canceled enrollment, review the account's full transaction history afterward and issue a refund for any excess payment if needed.
Delete a Processing Fee for a Canceled Enrollment
If an enrollment gets canceled, its linked processing fee needs to be removed too so it doesn't stay attached to the account. Here's how:
Open the account tied to the canceled enrollment.
Go to the account's Transactions list.
Find the processing fee to delete — it's usually linked to the related Program fee.
Click the three dots next to that transaction.
Select Edit, then Delete transaction.
Check whether the canceled enrollment needs a refund, and issue one if so.
Note: Deleting the transaction removes the associated charge, and the customer is no longer billed for it.
Remove a Standalone or Unwanted Transaction
Spot a processing fee or transaction that shouldn't be on an account? Here's how to remove it:
Open the customer's account in Enrollsy.
Go to the Transactions list to see all activity on the account.
Locate the transaction you want to remove.
Click the three dots next to it.
Select Edit, then Delete transaction. (If the transaction is on an invoice, select Go to Invoice and repeat Step 5 again).
Tip: Double-check the transaction details before deleting — this action can't be undone.
How Refunds Affect EnrollsyPay Processing Fees
Every electronic payment carries a processing fee, which Enrollsy clients pay directly to their merchant services provider — Enrollsy never collects these fees itself. Refunding a payment doesn't waive that original processing fee. If you pass processing fees on to customers, it's your choice whether a refund also includes that fee.
