Understanding Your Credit Card and ACH Deposits, Fees, and Settlement Times

Learn how EnrollsyPay deposits, fees, and settlement times appear on your bank and merchant statements

Written by Serena Edwards

If you use EnrollsyPay to collect payments, the deposits and fees that land in your bank account come from our payment processing partners, not from Enrollsy directly. This article explains how those deposits and fees appear on your bank statement, how long each payment type takes to settle, and how to access your merchant portals for full statement details.

NOTE: Enrollsy doesn't offer any customization to how these deposits are structured or timed.

Where is My Money?

Enrollsy helps you collect payments from your customers, but we're not a bank — we don't hold your funds or control exactly when they land in your account. We simply relay what our processing partners report about a transaction's success or failure.

At any given moment, a payment is in one of three places: still in your customer's bank account, in transit between banks, or already deposited in your bank account.

The sections below explain how credit card and ACH payments each move through this process and how they'll appear on your bank statement.

Credit Card Funding (Deposits/Fees)

Credit card payments typically settle within about one business day, then take another business day (sometimes the same day) to reach your bank account as a payout.

On your bank statement, these payouts and fees may appear under a few different labels depending on your bank: "EMPS" (Express Merchant Processing Solutions), "FRST BK MRCH SVC," or "Firstbank" (First Bank). These are all processing labels used by Nuvei, Enrollsy's credit card processor. Deposits and withdrawals post daily.

Here's what each line item means:

  • "DEPOSIT" — the deposit of card payments collected through Enrollsy.

    [Date] EMPS DEPOSIT *********1234 + $XX.XX
[Date] FRST BK MRCH SVC DEPOSIT *********1234 + $XX.XX
    [Date] Firstbank Deposit *********1234 + $XX.XX
  • "DISCOUNT" — a withdrawal representing your card processing fees.

    [Date] EMPS DISCOUNT *********1234 - $XX.XX
[Date] FRST BK MRCH SVC DISCOUNT *********1234 - $XX.XX
    [Date] Firstbank *********1234 - $XX.XX
  • "FEE" — any other fees on your monthly statement (for example, a monthly service fee).

    [Date] EMPS FEE *********1234 - $XX.XX
[Date] FRST BK MRCH SVC FEE *********1234 - $XX.XX
    [Date] Firstbank Service Charges/Fees *********1234 - $XX.XX

These line items match the totals on the bottom section of your monthly merchant statement. You can view your full statement anytime in the Nuvei Merchant Portal.

ACH Funding (Deposits/Fees)

ACH payments take longer to settle — typically 3 to 5 business days, depending on your customer's bank. During this window, the transaction sits in a "pending" state until your customer's bank approves the funds. Once approved, it takes about one more business day for the money to reach your bank account; this final step is usually the fastest part of the process.

On your bank statement, ACH deposits and fees will appear under "ACHQ," the processing label used by ACHQ/Speedchex, Enrollsy's ACH processor. Like credit card transactions, these post daily.
