How to Record a Printed E-Signature Document

Cancel the Unsigned Request and Record the Paper Copy in Enrollsy

Written by Serena Edwards

Sometimes a customer prints an E-signature Document and signs it by hand instead of signing it online. When that happens, cancel the e-signature request and record the paper copy as a Required Document. The customer's account will then show the Document as complete.

Before You Start

  • If the customer hasn't enrolled online, enroll them as an admin first so their information is in Enrollsy. For steps, see How to Enroll Someone in a Program or Waitlist as an Admin

  • You only need to create the Required Document in step 1 once. After that, reuse it whenever a customer turns in a paper copy

Step 1 — Create a Required Document for Paper Copies

  • Go to My Company > Forms > Documents

  • Create a new Required Document with a name that matches your E-signature Document, such as Paper Enrollment Packet

  • Set Required At to the same level as your E-signature Document

  • To keep a scanned copy of the signed paper Document, turn on Require Upload

Step 2 — Cancel the Unsigned E-signature Request

  • Go to the Enrollee's Documents page

  • Hover over the unsigned E-signature Document

  • Click the cancel icon, a circle with a line through it

Step 3 — Add the Paper Copy and Mark It Complete

  • On the Enrollee's Documents page, add the Required Document you created in step 1

  • Mark it as Completed

  • If you turned on Require Upload, upload the scanned copy

How many times you add the Document depends on its Required At level:

  • Primary Account Holder — Once for the Primary Account Holder

  • Enrollee — Once for each Enrollee

  • Enrollment — Once for each enrollment
