Creating an Invoice Summary with the Invoice Builder

Create a custom invoice summary for enrollees in a specific location and enrollment period

Written by Serena Edwards

Use the Invoice Builder to combine multiple invoices into one customized summary for a customer. This is especially useful when a family has several enrollees or invoices and you want to give them a single, easy-to-read statement. The steps below walk through opening the builder, setting your filters, and generating the final summary.

Step 1 — Open the Invoice Builder

From the customer's profile, go to their Billing page. In the top right corner, select Build Invoice Summary to open the builder.

Step 2 — Set Your Filters

The builder lets you control exactly which invoices appear in the summary. In one panel, you'll set the following:

  • Location and Enrollment Period — select one Location and one Enrollment Period. You can only choose one of each.

  • Enrollees — choose the enrollee or enrollees whose invoices you want to include. If there is only one enrollee, be sure to select their name, or the builder won't generate a summary.

  • Totals — choose which totals to display using the Include Enrollee Totals and Include All Invoices Total checkboxes.

Step 3 — Build and Print the Summary

Once your filters are set, select Build. You'll then have the option to print a hard copy or download the summary as a PDF to send electronically. Below is an example of a completed invoice summary.
