How to Give a Secondary Account Holder Access to the Enrollsy Account

Steps Primary Account Holders need to take to give Secondary Account Holders access to their account

Written by Serena Edwards

Overview of Roles in Enrollsy

Enrollsy accounts are structured to allow different types of user roles. The two primary roles for families using a shared account are:

  1. Primary Account Holder: The main user who manages the account, sets up access, and coordinates with Enrollsy directly for support.

  2. Secondary Parent: A user with shared access granted by the primary account holder. They are authorized to log in and utilize the account within the scope permitted by the primary user.

Granting Secondary Access

Primary Account Holders can grant the Secondary Account Holder access to their Account, allowing the Secondary Account Holder to set up a password with their email address. Primary Account Holders can grant access during enrollment on the Enroll Form and after enrollment in the Customer Portal.

NOTE: This should only be done if that "someone" is a trusted Secondary Account Holder. We say "trusted" because when enabled, the Secondary Account Holder has FULL access to Enrollsy, including any saved payment methods. They can make changes as well to anything in the Account.

Primary Account Holders can give the Secondary Account Holder login access to Enrollsy if the Secondary Account Holder if the following is true:

  • The Secondary Account Holder has an email address that is different from the Primary Account Holder's address.

  • The Secondary Account Holder's email address must also NOT be used on a different account as a Primary Account Holder's email address.

Admin users can give login access ONLY at the time of enrollment (if the Admin has an email address and has permission to provide the Secondary Account Holder access). We would suggest Admins only do this if they have express permission to do so from the Primary Account Holder.

How Secondary Account Holders Set Up a Password and Log In

After the Primary Account Holder turns on access, the Secondary Account Holder creates their own password. They won't get an email asking them to do this, so the Primary Account Holder should let them know access is ready.

Set up a password

  1. Go to your organization's Enrollsy sign-in page.

  2. Click Forgot Password.

  3. Enter the email address the Primary Account Holder added for you.

  4. Follow the prompts to create your password.

NOTE: Use the same email address the Primary Account Holder entered on the account. If you use a different one, or that email is already the Primary Account Holder email on another account, you won't be able to set a password.

After you set a password, sign in with your own email address and password in the Enrollsy app or in a browser. You'll see the same account as the Primary Account Holder, and you won't need to share their password.

Need help?

If you can't set a password or log in, contact your organization directly. Enrollsy support can't help Secondary Account Holders with login issues.

Disable Access

To disable access, the Primary Account Holder can switch the toggle to the off position within the Customer portal under "My Account" or on the Enroll Form during enrollment. Currently, the Primary Account Holder is the only one who can allow and disable login access to the Secondary Account Holder after enrollment.
