How to Deactivate, Reactivate, or Delete an Account

Learn what happens when you deactivate an account and how to request a permanent deletion

Written by Richard Hogan

Enrollsy creates an account when someone enrolls, including on a Waitlist. Each account belongs to a Primary Account Holder, who is responsible for payment. To remove an account from use, you can deactivate it yourself or ask Enrollsy support to delete it.

Deactivate or Delete — Which to Choose

  • Deactivate — Stops all enrollments and billing but keeps the account's history. You can reactivate the account at any time. This is the best choice in most cases.

  • Delete — Permanently removes the account, its Enrollees, and its enrollments. Only Enrollsy support can delete an account. Use this only for accounts created by mistake.

How to Deactivate an Account

  • Open the customer's Account page

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page

  • Click Deactivate

NOTE: To stop just one enrollment and keep the others active, deactivate that enrollment instead. See How to Deactivate or Delete Enrollments.

What Happens When an Account Is Deactivated

What Deactivation Does

  • Makes the account and all of its enrollments inactive

  • Turns off Auto-Billing and Auto-Pay

  • Removes all of the account's Enrollees from their Classes and Programs

  • Hides the account from your lists unless you choose to show inactive accounts

What Deactivation Doesn't Change

  • The account balance stays the same

  • The account's data isn't permanently removed

  • You can still search for and view the account

  • You can still print the account's receipts and statements

What Account Holders Can Still Do

  • Sign in to their account with their email address and password

  • View past billing and print transaction statements

  • Enroll or re-enroll in Programs and Classes that are open for enrollment

How to Find Inactive Accounts

Inactive accounts are hidden by default. To show them, turn on the Inactive switch on any of these pages:

  • Enrollees > Table > Accounts tab

  • Enrollees > Activity

  • Enrollees > Documents

For more ways to find inactive accounts, see How to Search & Find Active and Inactive Accounts.

How to Reactivate an Account

  • Open the inactive customer's Account page

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page

  • Click the green Activate button

How to Delete an Account

Admins can't delete accounts in Enrollsy. Deleting an account is permanent and removes all of its information, including the account details, Enrollees, and enrollments.

Before you request a deletion, download anything you need to keep:

To request a deletion, contact Enrollsy support through the chat button in Enrollsy and include:

  • The email address on the account you want deleted

  • Any other details that will help us find the right account
