How to Change Merchant Account Bank Information

Change the Bank Account where your money is deposited

Written by Serena Edwards

When the bank account where your funds are deposited changes, your merchant account provider — not Enrollsy — has to make the update. This is a security requirement set by the payment processors themselves. Use this guide to identify your provider (ACH, credit card, or international), gather the information you'll need ahead of time, and submit your change through the right channel the first time.

Before You Begin

Gather the following information before starting your request. Your merchant account provider will require all of it to process the change:

  • Old routing and account numbers

  • New routing and account numbers

  • New bank account type (deposit, withdrawal, or both)

  • Tax ID associated with the merchant account

  • Last 4 digits of the account owner's Social Security Number

  • Merchant account owner's legal name

  • A voided check (in case your information can't be verified automatically)

⚠️ You'll also need your Merchant ID (MID). Your MID was provided by your payment processor when you signed up. Enrollsy cannot look up or share MIDs for security reasons. If you've misplaced yours, contact your gateway provider directly:

Why is this information required? Your payment processor uses these details for identity verification and fraud prevention. Enrollsy never sees or stores this information — it's submitted directly to your provider.

Step 1 - Identify Your Merchant Account Provider

Step 2 - Follow Provider-Specific Instructions

Sign into the account and then submit a ticket to have this changed. If you don't already have access to this account, you can follow the steps outlined here to gain access.

Once you are in, go to the support tab, select Create a Ticket, and then select Bank Account Change. If you don't already have access to this account, you can follow the steps outlined here to gain access.

Alternative Option

f you'd rather not use the online forms — or if your provider isn't listed above — you can submit your bank account change using a paper request form instead. This option works for most providers, but processing typically takes longer than the online method.

Once completed, follow the submission instructions included on the form. Make sure every field is filled in and that you've attached a voided check, since incomplete forms are the most common reason for processing delays.

Need Help?

Not sure which provider you're with, can't locate your MID, or running into trouble with the form? We're happy to point you in the right direction.

  • Chat with us — Click the chat icon in the bottom-right corner of your Enrollsy dashboard and a member of our team will respond as soon as possible.

  • Stripe Express or international accounts — Reach out in chat and we'll help coordinate the change with our billing team.

  • Provider-specific issues (e.g., login problems, ticket status) — Contact your payment processor directly using the links in the table above.

Please note: While we can guide you through the process, the actual bank account change must be submitted by you to your merchant account provider for security reasons.
